Highest Preference

The highest preference entered by an applicant for a place and course that is considered valid (that is, a Commonwealth-supported place in a higher education undergraduate award course at a Table A or B HEP). In TACs where an applicant can apply for VET and/or postgraduate this may not be their first preference. For both applications and offers, the preference number is the ordinal position of the course as at the reference date.
