Data Verification - FAQ 06

06. Do I need to revise inconsistencies in the data before the verification sign-off date?

Yes! It is important to revise your data in HEIMS as soon as you have identified inconsistency or incorrect reporting. This is important because when you sign off during the formal verification period, you are indicating to the department that this data and all records underlying that data are accurate and ready for publication and reconciliation.

Once you have signed off your verification reports they cannot be updated with any revised data reported at a later date.

For more information about verifying your data, see the Checking and verifying your data toolkit.
