Coding notes
MMYY format:
- 1st 2 digits - Month sub-field (e.g. 06)
- 2nd 2 digits - Year sub-field (e.g. 78)
This element will be used to identify commencing students. Hence a "no information" code is not acceptable for this element. However, institutions unable to provide a code for re-enrolling students in 1987 will need to consult with the Commonwealth Tertiary Education commission to determine how such students are to be coded.
